BYU International Folk Dancers with Sko'gafoss

Join the BYU International Folk Dancers & Sko’gafoss for a fun and interactive experience in Scandinavian music and dance at the Pioneer Stage in Pioneer Village directly following the parade at 11:00 am. 

Perennial festival favorites the BYU International Folk Dancers will perform traditional Scandinavian dances for the crowd and even provide instruction for those who wish to learn a step or two. New to the festival this year and accompanying the Folk Dancers is Skógafoss, a newly created ensemble focused on performing Scandinavian folk music with authenticity and musical sophistication.

UTAH TAIKO

UTAIKO (Utah Taiko) brings the thunder of Japanese drumming to the heart of Central Utah. Founded by Rannoch (Razz) Purcell, whose taiko journey spans over two decades across America and Europe, UTAIKO combines deep tradition with creativity and a focus on health. Rannoch’s work includes international events like Taikopalooza and the Utah Taiko Experience, showcasing taiko as a global art form. Based in Manti, UTAIKO blends music, movement, culture, mindfulness, health—and tons of fun! INTENSE COUNTRY

Intense Country Band was formed in 1994. Their repertoire is filled with old time rock and roll and country favorites. They have played a various clubs, dance halls, rodeos, weddings and other social events through Utah and Nevada.

The band members consist of Aston Kestor of Eureka (Bass Guitar/Vocals), Mike Olsen of Spanish Fork (Bass & Vocals), Sarah Bingham of Nephi (Vocals), Kevin Ford of Eagle Mountain (Keyboard/Vocals), Bob Shepherd of Nephi (Drums & Vocals) and Keith Broadhead of Santaquin (Lead Guitar/Vocals).
